The Renovated Emfiedzhieva House Opens Its Doors for the Exhibition “Dedication”

On 13 October 2026 at 6:00 p.m., the exhibition “Dedication” opened in the new events space of the Emfiedzhieva House in Kyustendil, renovated under the CULTURAL AREA project. The exhibition marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of Penka Kasabova.

The opening was part of the cultural programme of the Third National Meeting of Museum Educators with international participation, “Art as a Tool for Expanding the Geographical and Social Boundaries of Museum Education”. The meeting aims to exchange good practices in attracting and working with diverse audiences.

As host, Valentin Debochichki, Director of the Regional History Museum – Kyustendil, opened the exhibition. Its author is Elena Dragostinova, Director of the “Boris Hristov” National Museum, who presented the concept and content of the exhibition to the guests.

The hosts from RHM – Kyustendil guided the participants through the house and told its story: of the people who built it and lived in it, the crafts and trade that made it possible, and its new life as a place for meeting, learning and culture.

Thank you to all our guests and participants!

The CULTURAL AREA project (BGMK0200027) is implemented with the financial support of the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria – North Macedonia Cross-border Cooperation Programme, co-funded by the European Union. #CULTURALAREA #Interreg #EmfiedzhievaHouse #Kyustendil #RHMKyustendil #MuseumEducation #CulturalHeritage #Dedication #PenkaKasabova
