The Fertility Festival celebrates the autumn harvest in the town square of Kyustendil on a weekend at the end of September. Organised by the Municipality of Kyustendil, it showcases the season's fruits and vegetables and the dishes made from them, set to popular music. Tourists, craftsmen, merchants and residents gather for a bountiful, festive send-off to summer.
