The Hisarlaka Experience unfolds on the historic Hisarlaka fortress hill above Kyustendil on a weekend in mid-July. Organised by the Municipality of Kyustendil and the Kyustendil Tourism Council Association, it combines popular musical performances with traditional food and drink in a scenic hilltop setting. Tourists, local businesses, craftsmen and residents from the cross-border region are invited to enjoy the festivities.
