The Southwest International Folklore Festival "Peace in the Balkans" fills the town square of Dupnitsa each May with music, dance and colour. Organised by the Municipality of Dupnitsa, it gathers folklore performers around a shared message of friendship across the region. Tourists, residents and students are all welcome to enjoy the international programme.
